Our Work

Driving Veterans is a local, private, nonprofit organization aimed at providing healthy physical and mental stimulation for veterans and their family members. It is our mission to provide and conduct various equine related activities and events for veterans to increase their morale and support the emotional and physical welfare of themselves and their families.

Driving Veterans

Goals

We are in our first year of operation and a key goal to invite veterans and their families to learn about horses, carriages, and carriage driving while also receiving the physical benefits of BEMER support for their bodies for a whole positive body-mind experience.

Driving Veterans

Goals

With continued support we would like to be able to offer more readily available, year-round access to horse/carriage opportunities for physical support, relaxation, fun, and emotional support.

BEMER Goals

We are seeking your support with donations that will be used to purchase a BEMER therapy set to improve quality of life, body function, reduce pain, and help our veterans have physical readiness to enjoy their equine experience.

Here is a little information about BEMER therapy and how it will improve the lives of the veterans in our program:

BEMER therapy uses a specific type of electromagnetic field to stimulate the body's natural processes, aiming to improve circulation, boost the immune system, and enhance overall well-being.

Here's a simplified explanation of how it works:

# The Science Behind BEMER Therapy

1. *Electromagnetic Fields*: BEMER devices emit a unique pattern of electromagnetic fields, which are similar to those found in nature.

2. *Cellular Response*: When these fields interact with the body, they stimulate cellular processes, particularly in the blood vessels.

3. *Improved Circulation*: The electromagnetic fields help to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote the formation of new blood vessels.

4. *Enhanced Oxygenation*: Improved circulation leads to better oxygen delivery to cells and tissues, which is essential for energy production, healing, and overall health.

5. *Systemic Effects*: The increased blood flow and oxygenation have a positive impact on the body's systems, including the immune system, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system.

# Theories and Mechanisms

Explanation on BEMER’s mechanisms to produce effect:

1. *Increased Nitric Oxide Production*: BEMER fields stimulate the production of nitric oxide, a molecule that helps to relax blood vessels and improve circulation.

2. *Enhanced ATP Production*: The electromagnetic fields increase the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of the body.

3. *Stimulation of Cellular Signaling Pathways*: BEMER therapy activates specific cellular signaling pathways, leading to improved cellular function and overall health.
